A Hampshire-based charity is organizing a skydive event this summer to raise funds for its cause.
The “Dare to Dive” challenge, hosted by the Nimsdai Foundation, will take place on Sunday, July 20, at Netheravon Airfield in Wiltshire. Participants will take part in a tandem skydive from 12,000 feet above the Salisbury Plain to support the foundation’s mission.
Founded by mountaineer Nimsdai Purja, the Nimsdai Foundation aims to improve lives by pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Executive Director Glen Mallen said, “We’re giving our boldest supporters the chance to challenge themselves, take the leap, and raise crucial funds to help the Nimsdai Foundation continue its work in changing lives and redefining possibilities.”
He added, “Last time, the energy was high, the jumps were unforgettable, and the impact was real. Now, it’s your turn to sign up, take the leap, and make a difference.”
The event will be held in partnership with Skydive Nimsdai, starting at 7 a.m.
The Nimsdai Foundation has previously supported disaster relief efforts following the 2015 Nepal floods and has helped veterans through rehabilitative climbing programs. In 2025, the foundation plans to build a Porters House along the Everest Base Camp trail, providing mountain porters with a dedicated, safe place to stay.
