Whistler, BC – The world’s biggest mountain biking festival, Crankworx Whistler, will return to its birthplace from August 8 to 17, 2025, marking a major milestone as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. With a packed schedule of elite races, fan-favorite events, and community engagement, the event promises to be one of its most exciting editions yet.
Honoring Two Decades of Crankworx
Launched in 2004, Crankworx Whistler has grown into the crown jewel of the Crankworx World Tour. It is known for blending professional competition with a welcoming atmosphere for amateurs, young riders, and fans alike. Over the years, it has helped launch careers, celebrate champions, and create lasting memories on the trails of British Columbia.
The festival features major events like the Slopestyle World Championship Final, Kidsworx, and CWNEXT, as well as open-entry contests for all levels of riders. Crankworx continues to blend professional-level racing with community participation, setting the standard for global mountain biking culture.
2025 Event Highlights
This year’s schedule includes a mix of returning favorites and new thrills. Some of the most anticipated events include:
RockShox Canadian Open Downhill – Held on Thursday, August 14, this race will once again challenge riders on Whistler’s rugged 1199 track, known as one of the toughest downhill courses on the tour.
Red Bull Joyride – Scheduled for the morning of Saturday, August 16, this is the final stop of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship. The best male and female Slopestyle riders in the world will compete for the overall title and the elusive Triple Crown of Slopestyle.
