COALVILLE, Utah — Escapod, a leading manufacturer of high-performance off-road trailers, has officially launched the TOPO2 MTB, a groundbreaking camper built specifically for mountain bikers. This all-season trailer combines Escapod’s award-winning design with features tailored for cycling enthusiasts, creating a versatile and easy-to-tow mobile base camp for mountain biking adventures.
The TOPO2 MTB will be unveiled at the Sea Otter Classic this weekend, from April 10-13, in Monterey, California, at booth S9.
Building on the success of Escapod’s original TOPO2 trailer, known for its ultra-durable, single-piece molded fiberglass body and proprietary high-clearance suspension system, the TOPO2 MTB is designed to meet the unique needs of mountain and gravel bikers. At the core of the trailer’s design is Escapod’s custom-built Switchback Hitch. This swing-away hitch provides easy access to the trailer’s galley, even when loaded with two bikes, and locks securely in three positions, offering stability both off-road and at camp.
The Switchback Hitch includes a bull bar, a RotopaX mount, and a Feedback Sports Mechanic Clamp, enabling quick trail-side maintenance. Additionally, the trailer is equipped with Küat’s new Piston ION E-bike Rack, also making its debut at Sea Otter. This rack, designed to transport e-bikes up to 80 lbs., is rated for RV use and is built to withstand rough conditions, ensuring cyclists can reach the best spots to ride with ease.
For further convenience, the galley features a Feedback Sports Team Edition Tool Kit, while the Feedback Sports Slide Lock Clamp Head attaches to the bull bar for smooth maintenance in remote locations.
