Tourists visiting Sikkim will soon have the chance to experience bungee jumping from the Singshore Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the Himalayan state. Standing 100 meters above the ground and stretching 240 meters in length, the bridge offers an exhilarating new way to enjoy the stunning scenery of West Sikkim.
Officials announced that bungee jumping will begin during the Sikkim Rural Tourism Meet (SRTM), which is scheduled to take place from March 22 to 25, 2025, in Uttarey, West Sikkim. This initiative is part of the state’s efforts to boost adventure tourism.
Sikkim’s Roads and Bridges Minister, NB Dahal, visited the Singshore Bridge on Friday to assess the safety measures in place for bungee jumping. This marks the introduction of the first-ever bungee jumping facility in the state.
The new attraction is expected to draw adventure enthusiasts to Sikkim, further enhancing the region’s appeal as a hub for outdoor activities.
