For the first time, the World Rookie Camp is coming to Santander, Cantabria, from June 15 to June 22, 2025. This exciting event brings together young talents from around the globe for a week of skateboarding, surfing, and competition. It’s an opportunity for action sports enthusiasts to train, have fun, and qualify for the World Rookie Tour summer series finals.
Surfing in Santander
Santander is renowned for its excellent surf spots, offering ideal waves for all skill levels. Participants will refine their surfing techniques under the guidance of Surf to Live and Escuela Cántabra. They will focus on improving paddling, wave selection, and maneuver techniques while enjoying the beachside atmosphere of northern Spain.
Skateboarding Program
The skateboarding program includes training sessions at Life Skatepark and Somo Skatepark. Riders will develop their street and transition skills with coaching from World Rookie Tour experts. The highlight of the camp is a two-day official World Rookie Tour skateboarding qualifier, where competitors can earn a spot in the WRT summer series finals.
Beyond the Board
The World Rookie Camp Santander 2025 is more than just training; it’s an immersive experience in surf and skate culture.
Participants will engage in inclusive art projects at Centro Botín, team-building activities like sea rowing, and life-skill workshops. They will enjoy beachside activities, sunset chill sessions, and a community of like-minded riders. Photo and video sessions will allow participants to document their progress and create lasting memories. The final party at Surf Garden will be the perfect way to celebrate an epic week of riding, learning, and connecting.
