Sioux City’s Cone Park has temporarily closed its mountain bike trails to undergo essential maintenance. The park’s management is working diligently to assess and repair the trails, aiming to reopen them as soon as possible.
During this closure, visitors can still enjoy the park’s pump track, which remains open for bikers. However, the tubing hill has closed for the season as of Sunday.
Cone Park has faced challenges recently, including historic storms and flooding that damaged its trails earlier in the year. The park has been working to improve its infrastructure and community engagement through partnerships like the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) and local organizations.
