Norwegian skier Henrik Kristoffersen solidified his dominance at Kranjska Gora by winning the men’s World Cup slalom on Sunday, following his giant slalom victory the day before. This achievement marked the first time in his career that he has won both events in the same weekend.

Kristoffersen began the second run in joint sixth place but delivered a technically impressive performance to secure his second slalom victory of the season. His closest rivals, Loic Meillard and Clément Noël, struggled to keep pace. Meillard, the newly crowned Slalom World Champion, finished fourth, while Noël placed tenth after a challenging second run. This outcome positions Kristoffersen favorably to claim the Slalom Crystal Globe with two races remaining.

The event was also a success for Norway’s Timon Haugan, who secured second place, and Austria’s Manuel Feller, who finished third. Feller, the reigning Slalom Crystal Globe winner, showed signs of regaining his form after a tough season.

Kristoffersen’s victory was notable for his ability to overcome minor errors in the top and mid-sections of the course. He recovered with impressive speed and finished the course flawlessly. Reflecting on his win, Kristoffersen acknowledged the challenging conditions but praised the course, saying it suits skiers who excel in technical environments.

“This was a big goal for me,” Kristoffersen said, highlighting the significance of his double victory. “I’ve won GS and GS, Slalom and Slalom, but never GS and Slalom together. It’s a hill I really enjoy, and these conditions are all about the skier.”
