The first annual Midwest Mountain Bike Fest will take place from June 20-22 in Cuyuna, Minnesota, presented by Wilde Bicycle Co. The festival, focused on building community and celebrating the culture of mountain biking, will feature a variety of activities for riders of all skill levels. Set against the backdrop of Cuyuna’s world-class trail system, the event promises a weekend of non-competitive fun, skills clinics, bike demos, group rides, and music.

Over 60 miles of red dirt single-track trails, crystal-clear lakes, and scenic views await participants, offering an unforgettable experience for mountain biking enthusiasts. Event Director Jeff Frane emphasized the festival’s community-driven nature, saying, “It’s time for a new generation of cycling events, ones not rooted in competition but in fellowship and stewardship. This is a chance to bring the riding community together for a memorable weekend. It’s going to be a good old-fashioned dirt party, on some of the best trails around.”

Otso Brand Manager Chelsea Strate shared her excitement about the weekend: “I can’t wait to spend the weekend surrounded by new and seasoned riders, demo bikes, group rides, clinics, happy hours, and raffles, all taking over the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails. Hope to see you there.”

In addition to the rides and festivities, the event will feature two key fundraising opportunities to benefit the Cuyuna Lakes MTB Crew. This local organization, responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Cuyuna trail system, will receive $10 from each festival pass sold. The event will also host a Pints for a Purpose fundraiser on Saturday night, where $1 from every Fat Tire pint sold will be donated to the trail crew.
