Jackson Hole, Wyo. — Tim McChesney and Ana Eyssimont have been named the King and Queen of Corbet’s following their impressive performances at the seventh annual Kings & Queens of Corbet’s invitational at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR).

Both skiers earned their first titles, outshining a competitive field of 24 athletes tackling the infamous Corbet’s Couloir. McChesney and Eyssimont each took home $10,000 in prize money. The sum included $5,000 for winning their respective ski categories, plus an additional $5,000 each for being the highest-scoring male and female athletes across all disciplines.

In the snowboard category, Yuki Kadono and Sarka Pancochova claimed $5,000 each for their impressive performances. Kadono landed a cork three and a frontside 1080 on the bottom kicker, while Pancochova executed a smooth straight air followed by a switch 540.

The event, held on Tuesday, February 11, followed a fresh winter storm that blanketed Corbet’s Couloir with powder. Ideal conditions, with partly sunny skies at the start and light snowfall later in the day, created a perfect atmosphere for the competition. With over 275 inches of snow already recorded at the top of Rendezvous Mountain, the athletes had an exceptional course to showcase their skills.

McChesney took the men’s ski title with a bold dub cork 1080 off the top cornice and a switch 1080 at the bottom kicker, setting the bar high as the first skier to drop. He beat out Alex Hackel, who landed a stylish hand-drag 720, and Tristen Lilly, who finished in third.

Eyssimont captured the women’s ski crown with a standout run, featuring a big straight air followed by a backflip. She secured the win ahead of Claire McPherson, the 2023 champion, and 2021 winner Piper Kunst.

In snowboarding, Kadono secured first place for the men, while Jed Sky and Spencer Whiting took second and third, respectively. In the women’s category, Pancochova was followed by Madison Blackley in second and Erika Vikander in third.

The competition awarded $50,000 in prize money overall, with second-place finishers earning $3,000 and third-place finishers receiving $2,000.

While the King and Queen titles were decided by the athletes themselves, the People’s Choice award will be announced through an online vote in partnership with GORE-TEX and Mammut. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will reveal the winner on its Instagram account.
