The Natural Selection Tour (NST) has officially unveiled the first of many riders for its 2025 bike event, following a major announcement earlier this year. The Tour, which is expanding to include bike, ski, and surf competitions, will host its inaugural bike event in February 2025 in Queenstown, New Zealand. This new addition to the Proving Grounds series promises to elevate the global presence of the event, which has traditionally showcased elite athletes in freeride sports.
While details on the event location and scouting process have been shared, the full roster of invited riders has remained under wraps until now. The first rider to be revealed is none other than Dylan Stark, known for his high-energy style and unpredictability on the bike. Stark, who has made a name for himself at major freeride competitions such as Swatch Nines and Red Bull Rampage, also earned a third-place finish at the 2024 X Games Real Street competition.
The NST’s Instagram announcement praised Stark’s impressive track record, stating, “It’s time to start introducing our riders for NST Bike 2025. First up, it’s Dylan Stark (@whoisdylan). He’s one of the most entertaining and unpredictable riders in the world, and he graced the podium at the past two Proving Grounds events.” The post continued, noting that Stark’s second-place finish at Proving Grounds Prineville in 2022 secured his spot in the upcoming Queenstown event, which kicks off on February 15, 2025.
As the countdown to the event continues, fans can expect more rider announcements in the coming weeks. With the next evolution of Proving Grounds just around the corner, all eyes are on the riders who will take to the starting gate in New Zealand.
