Storrs Hill Ski Area in Lebanon, New Hampshire, is offering skiers and snowboarders free lift tickets throughout the 2024-25 season. This generous initiative is made possible by a donation from the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation. The ski area, which has been a community staple since its opening in 1923, is operated by the nonprofit Lebanon Outing Club.

Cory Grant, the hill manager and president of the Lebanon Outing Club, expressed the organization’s excitement about the donation, stating, “This project embodies the spirit of our community, providing an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the outdoors and experience the magic of winter sports. We hope this initiative brings neighbors together and inspires a love of skiing in a fun and accessible way.”

Storrs Hill Ski Area attracts approximately 5,000 visitors each year. The facility features 20 skiable acres, seven trails, one lift, two ski jumps, and a terrain park. It also offers instructional programs, a lodge, and night skiing, which has been available since 1939. The vertical drop at the ski area is 300 feet.

The donation is expected to continue benefiting the ski area in future seasons, potentially allowing for free skiing beyond this year.

Storrs Hill is open on Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations are not required, but visitors should note that rental equipment is not available. Those interested can check out the trail map for more details.

In addition to Storrs Hill’s initiative, King Pine Ski Area in Madison, New Hampshire, is also offering discounted skiing this season. On December 19, the ski area will celebrate Founders Day by offering lift tickets for just $4.
