World Skate has unveiled the preliminary schedule for the 2025 World Skateboard Tour (WST), confirming the first few locations and dates for the competition.
The tour will kick off in Rome, Italy, during the first two weeks of June. Afterward, it will move to Washington, D.C., in September, and wrap up in Japan in late November. The events in Rome and Washington, D.C. will feature WST Street and Park competitions, while the Japan event, at a yet-to-be-revealed location, will be a WST Street event.
World Skate emphasized that while the Rome, Washington, and Japan stops are confirmed, the exact dates for each location are still pending. The organization also teased that further updates will follow, as additional events are being finalized for both Street and Park disciplines worldwide.
“While the above events are confirmed, our World Skate staff is tirelessly working to finalize more global stops for both Street and Park categories,” the official statement read. “Additional events for 2025, as well as new destinations for 2026, will be revealed in upcoming releases.”
The 2025 tour will start with the Rome events in June, which will be the first WST stop of the season. As the International Olympic Committee-recognized governing body for skateboarding, World Skate’s Open contest series offers Pro Tour and World Championship events. Athletes competing in these events can earn rankings that lead to Olympic qualifications.
This announcement marks the beginning of a series of updates, with more details expected to be shared as the calendar is finalized.
