Madhya Pradesh Tourism has announced the fourth edition of the Skydiving Festival in Ujjain, set to run from November 9, 2024, to February 9, 2025. This annual event aims to promote adventure tourism in the state and attract thrill-seekers from across the country.
Participants will have the chance to jump from a height of 10,000 feet, enjoying breathtaking views of Ujjain, a city known for its spiritual significance. The festival is organized by Sky-high India, which will use a specially modified Cessna 182P aircraft. This aircraft can carry six people at a time, but only two participants will jump with two instructors during each session.
Sky-high India is certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the United States Parachute Association (USPA), ensuring that safety standards are met. Experienced skydivers will guide participants throughout their jumps, making the experience both thrilling and secure.
Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, expressed enthusiasm for this year’s festival. He stated that more than 1,000 participants are expected over the three-month period. Shukla noted that the festival not only builds on the success of previous editions but also aims to establish Madhya Pradesh as a leading destination for adventure tourism.
The skydiving activities will take place daily at the Datana Airstrip in Ujjain from 8 AM to 5 PM. Tickets can be booked online at www.skyhighindia.com. In addition to skydiving, other air-based adventure activities are planned for future events.
Shukla emphasized that Ujjain is becoming a hub for adventure tourism and called on visitors to take part in this unique experience.
The festival promises excitement and entertainment in a city that holds deep cultural and spiritual significance.
