Skida, the Vermont-based accessories brand, has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Pursuit Collection, which features innovative Liner Gloves, a Performance Hat, and a Headband. Developed in collaboration with elite Skida athletes, this new product line is designed to meet the rigorous demands of training and competition in high-performance sports.
Blending exceptional functionality with environmental sustainability, each item in the Pursuit Collection is made from certified BlueSign PFA-free fabric, ensuring that athletes can perform at their best while minimizing their ecological footprint.
At the forefront of the collection is the Liner Glove, a long-awaited addition following numerous requests from athletes and fans. Crafted as the ideal base layer for cold-weather activities, the gloves provide outstanding insulation and flexibility, along with touch-screen compatibility. Whether worn alone or layered beneath other gloves, they are designed to help users tackle a variety of tasks and adapt to changing temperatures with ease.
The Performance Hat and Headband are engineered for endurance and high-intensity activities. While built to withstand the rigors of competitive sports, these items are equally comfortable for everyday use. Key features include compatibility with helmets, anti-slip technology, and superior breathability.
“With every new product, we strive to be intentional and address a real need,” said Eliza Nixon, Skida Brand Manager. “The Pursuit Collection was born from feedback from athletes and customers seeking lightweight, breathable, and warm gear, designed to offer uncompromising performance in any condition.”
Founded in 2008 by Corinne Prevot, Skida began as a teenaged cross-country ski racer’s mission to create headwear that could effectively wick sweat while keeping athletes warm during Vermont’s harsh winters. Over the years, Skida has expanded its reach, forming partnerships with top winter athletes like Julia Kern and Bea Kim, as well as the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team. The Pursuit Collection is tailored specifically to meet the needs of these elite competitors.
“The Pursuit collection is the soft, thin layer that you put on and forget about during your chosen pursuit,” remarked Olympic Nordic skier Julia Kern. “Last season, I always had the Pursuit headband and hat in my bag, whether it was a race day or a day backcountry skiing in the mountains. I like the collection because it breathes super well during hard efforts like races or on warmer days, and it also fits easily under a helmet. The Pursuit headband became my go-to race headband last season because I was able to put it on and not think about it; it stayed in place and kept me warm but wicked well when I was sweating.”
