In a vibrant celebration of skate culture, Vans is set to host an exhilarating all-day block party at Vans Skate Space 198 in Bushwick, Brooklyn, on September 7, coinciding with New York Fashion Week. This event underscores Vans’ unwavering commitment to celebrating skateboarding’s cultural impact and supporting its community of innovators who are “Always Pushing” the boundaries of the sport.

The festivities will kick off with an open skate session in Vans Skate Space 198’s expansive concrete park, featuring a high-energy skate jam with cash prizes for tricks and gift card giveaways from renowned skate shops KCDC, Labor, and Tenant. Newcomers to the skate scene will have the chance to hone their skills with free lessons hosted by KCDC and Sk8Babes. Interested participants can sign up for these skate lessons through the provided registration link.

Beyond the skateboarding action, the event will showcase a vibrant “Off the Wall” market with contributions from Vans-affiliated brands including LQQK Studio, Quartersnacks, PunkandYo, Homerun, Star Team, EC Melodi, FTI, Nayfandwavey, and others. Fans can also meet esteemed members of the Vans Skateboarding team such as Beatrice Domond, Ben Kadow, Dick Rizzo, Shiloh Catori, Rowan Zorilla, Zion Wright, Curren Caples, and Efron Danzig. The event will feature DJ sets from LQQK Studios, Ben Kadow, and King Marie, complemented by a variety of food and beverage vendors.

As night falls, the celebration will continue with a transformation of the venue into a “skate rave.” Following an evening skate session with the Vans Skateboarding team, the space will pulse with ghettotech beats from Detroit’s HiTech and New York’s Jubilee, turning the energy up as the event shifts into a high-octane night of skating and music.
