Rye, NH — A man was urgently transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after being rescued from the waters at Jenness State Beach.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., Rye Police were dispatched to the beach following reports of an unconscious surfer. Upon arrival, officers observed lifeguards administering life-saving measures to the man.
According to officials, the victim was pulled from the water by fellow surfers who recognized the distress signals. The initial findings indicate that the man experienced a medical emergency while surfing.
