Scott Township, Lackawanna County – This Saturday, Chapman Lake in Scott Township will host a special water skiing event aimed at individuals with physical disabilities. Organized by Individual Abilities in Motion and Leaps of Faith Waterskiing, the event promises an exciting opportunity for participants to experience water skiing for the first time.
The event is designed to serve a dual purpose: offering individuals with physical disabilities a chance to engage in a new and exhilarating activity, and providing a platform for them to connect with others in similar circumstances. Joe Salva, President of Individual Abilities in Motion, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “It has a two-fold purpose: giving them an opportunity to participate in a new activity that they might not otherwise be able to, and also providing a great way for them to network and connect with others in a shared situation.”
Although registration for this weekend’s event is now closed, Individual Abilities in Motion plans to host more outdoor activities in the future, aiming to further encourage people with physical disabilities to explore and enjoy the outdoors.
