Skydive New Zealand has unveiled an unparalleled adventure for thrill-seekers visiting the South Island: tandem skydiving from 10,000 feet out of a helicopter. This unique offering positions Skydive New Zealand as the sole operator in the country to provide this exhilarating experience at top skydiving destinations.
Part of the esteemed INLFITE Group renowned for its helicopter, fixed-wing, and skydiving ventures since 2012, Skydive New Zealand is set to launch this new product at its iconic bases in Franz Josef and Pukaki, including Skydive Franz Josef and Skydive Mount Cook, with future expansion plans underway.
Henry Morgan, Parachute Operations Manager at Skydive New Zealand, expressed enthusiasm about this venture: “Our team brings extensive experience in helicopter operations and skydiving in New Zealand. We are thrilled to establish ourselves as the premier destination for helicopter skydiving in NZ. Our staff are excited to expand our offerings and deliver such a unique jump experience at the country’s finest drop zones.”
The helicopters are specially equipped for skydiving, ensuring both comfort and safety throughout the entire experience. This method offers several advantages over traditional airplane jumps, including a shorter, smoother ascent to altitude and a controlled launch with minimal air disturbance.
“Helicopter skydiving provides an unparalleled experience for both first-time jumpers and seasoned pros alike,” adds Henry.
