Panchkula, Haryana, March 31, 2025 – Manipur’s cyclists dominated the 21st National Mountain Biking Championship, emerging as the men’s elite team champions at the event held from March 28 to 31 in Panchkula, Haryana.
The team’s outstanding performance included a total of four medals—one gold, two silver, and one bronze—across multiple categories. Kharaksing Adonis Tangpu led the charge, securing the top spot in the men’s elite XCO event and adding a silver in the men’s elite XCT competition.
Khundrakpam Ronel Singh contributed to the success with a bronze medal in the men’s elite XCO, while Thotmachan Awungshi earned silver in the men’s U-23 XCO category.
The Manipur team, consisting of seven riders and two officials, was supported by team manager Ngathem Pungfa and coach Dr. Tourangbam Alex, who played an instrumental role in guiding the athletes throughout the competition.
The Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association also extended their congratulations to the athletes and officials, praising their exceptional efforts and the pride they brought to the state.
