JACKSON, WY — The Jackson Broncs continued their dominance in Wyoming high school alpine skiing, sweeping the 2025 Wyoming High School Alpine Skiing State Championships last weekend at Snow King Mountain Resort. The victories extended the girls’ team’s winning streak to 16 consecutive titles and the boys’ team’s streak to 14.
Witherite Leads Girls’ Team to Victory
Jackson’s Dylan Witherite secured two individual titles, narrowly winning the giant slalom (GS) race with a combined two-run time of 1:34.08, edging out teammate Lily Steinberg by just 0.03 seconds. Callie Owens, Neve Pruzan, and Ceci Bruno rounded out the top five, solidifying Jackson’s dominance in the event.
In Saturday’s slalom race, Witherite secured a more decisive victory, posting a winning time of 1:18.75. Annie Moll finished second at 1:21.47, followed by Madeline Ryan in third. Owens and Pruzan completed the top five.
The Jackson girls’ team claimed the team championship with a perfect 160 points. Cody finished second with 72 points, followed by Pinedale (33), Natrona County (33), Kelly Walsh (25), and Laramie (13).
Tozzi Sweeps Boys’ Races
On the boys’ side, Nico Tozzi delivered dominant performances, winning both the GS and slalom races by significant margins. In Friday’s GS event, Tozzi clocked a combined time of 1:27.65, finishing 2.36 seconds ahead of teammate Lucas Goewert. Teddy Peightal, Adi Wetzler, and Parker Patten completed the top five.
In Saturday’s slalom, Tozzi dominated the competition, finishing with a two-run total of 1:12.22, nearly seven seconds ahead of runner-up Peightal (1:19.07). Jackson’s Lucas Milligan placed third, while Pinedale’s James Tolson and Dune Mecartney finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Jackson boys’ team secured the state title with 131 points. Pinedale finished second with 83 points, while Natrona County and Laramie tied for third with 43. Kelly Walsh (24) and Cody (18) rounded out the standings.
With their continued dominance, the Jackson Broncs remain the powerhouse of Wyoming high school alpine skiing.
