This vital assistance is made possible through collaboration with local first responders and organizations including the American Red Cross, Samaritan’s Purse, Convoy of Hope, Save Our Allies, WC Kitchen, Water by Women, and Waves for Water.
Following Hurricane Milton, widespread flooding has severely disrupted access to clean drinking water, leaving over 1.5 million people without safe supplies. The contamination of local water sources has prompted cities to issue boil-water advisories, making Sawyer’s donation of water filters an essential lifeline. This innovative approach moves away from the logistical challenges associated with bottled water, providing a quicker and more sustainable solution. A single Sawyer Tap Water Filter can replace two pallets (1,900 liters) of bottled water, delivering up to 500 gallons of clean drinking water per day. These compact and lightweight filters allow communities to safely draw water from compromised sources, reducing transportation delays and minimizing reliance on single-use plastics.
