For cycling enthusiasts seeking fresh summer activities, mark your calendars for the inaugural Lee Canyon Bike Festival, happening on Saturday, August 24. The festival promises an engaging celebration of mountain biking with a range of activities, all set against the backdrop of Lee Canyon’s scenic views.

The festival, hosted by Dirt Fix in collaboration with Lee Canyon, is free to attend. It will run from noon to 4:30 p.m., featuring an array of industry vendors, local bike shops, bike brand demonstrations, live music, and expert mountain bike guides. Attendees can also enjoy diverse food options from on-site food trucks and a beer tent.

Dan Hooper, Lee Canyon’s General Manager, highlights the event’s significance: “The Las Vegas mountain bike community is incredibly passionate and welcoming. The Lee Canyon Bike Festival is an opportunity to celebrate that spirit. Over the past five seasons, we’ve invested $17 million in resort upgrades, enabling us to host events like this that strengthen our community.”

In addition to the festival, the event will include a special film screening. Following the festival, film enthusiasts can attend a viewing of Red Bull and Anthill Films’ MTB documentary “Anytime,” presented by Shimano. A happy hour at Bristlecone Bar from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. will precede the film screening, which begins at 7 p.m.

Both the festival and film screening are free, though attendees wishing to ride the mountain bike park must purchase a separate ticket or season pass. The expo will feature free equipment demos from various manufacturers.
