The 2024 Olympic Games surfing semi-finals and finals, scheduled for Saturday, faced an unexpected halt as wave conditions failed to meet the requirements for competition. The International Surfing Association announced that the events, held in Teahupo’o, Tahiti, are now set to resume on Monday.

Among the competitors advancing to the medal rounds is Tatiana Weston-Webb, a Kaua‘i native who represents Brazil in international competitions. Weston-Webb will face off against Brisa Hennessy of Costa Rica in the upcoming semi-finals.
