Rising Star: Bend 12-Year-Old Secures 4th Place at National Mountain Bike Championships, Eyes Future Olympics

In a remarkable debut at the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships, 12-year-old Adele Weiner from Bend showcased her exceptional skills by clinching fourth place.

Training rigorously six days a week, Weiner competed against some of the nation’s top female riders. Her dedication and prowess on the bike highlight a bright future in competitive cycling.

“I’m aiming for the 2028 or 2032 Olympics,” Weiner shared. “If I continue improving and stay focused, I believe I can make it.”

To conclude her biking season, Weiner will participate in the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA) Series. Looking ahead, she is already planning for the national competition in Virginia next year, where she will advance to a new age group.
