Margate, NJ — Dozens of children with autism and developmental disabilities had a thrilling morning of surfing on Saturday, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Margate and Longport first responders.
The Heart of Surfing event, held on Coolidge Avenue in Margate, brought together the Margate and Longport beach patrols and the Margate City Fire Department. Their collaboration ensured a safe and fun-filled experience for the young participants.
Heart of Surfing, a nonprofit organization, provides free surfing and skateboarding lessons to families with autism and other developmental disabilities, creating opportunities for these children to enjoy new adventures and build confidence in an inclusive environment.
